This blog page is designed for helping my students and their parents throughout the school year.  There are sections denoted for LA1 and LA2, so please pay attention to those differences as the classes are different!

LA1:In this class, most of the academic standards are taught, and its main focus is on reading.  Although most junior high students are good decoders, reading comprehension at this level is more involved with comprehension, analyzing and evaluating text, and relating to the written word. 

LA2: This class is skill-based.  In my LA2 classes, we will learn in detail the steps of reading and writing,  improve vocabulary, and become grammar gurus!
